Maharashtra On Alert To Deal With Any Situation: Minister Amid Bird Flu Scare

Amid the spreading scare of bird flu throughout many components of the nation and within the state, Maharashtra Animal Husbandry Minister Sunil Kedar on Tuesday stated that the state authorities is on alert to cope with the scenario that will come up in coming days.

Whereas speaking to the media, Mr Kedar stated that culling has been began in Maharashtra””s Parbhani district after chicken flu has been confirmed as the reason for loss of life of round 800 hens in the previous few days at a poultry farm there.

“We’re alert to cope with the scenario that will come up within the coming days. We had a gathering with Chief Minister with all of the District Collectors. The Forest Division and Animal husbandry division are working along with the district administration. We’re having an in depth watch on all the event on this regard,” Mr Kedar informed media.

“Now we have began the culling operation in Parbhani and we might be doing the culling in an space underneath the radius of 1 km wherever the instances of chicken flu might be reported,” he added.
