TRICHY: Former registrar of Madurai Kamaraj College V Alagappan was unanimously elected as senate nominee for the three-member vice chancellor search committee of Bharathidasan College (BDU) on Friday.

The Instances of India on October 05 reported the potential nomination of Alagappan to the vice chancellor search committee.

He was nominated in a particular assembly of the senate that was convened on Friday.

BDU initiated the choice course of for its subsequent vice chancellor on October 1 by convening a particular assembly of the syndicate.

S Mohan, retired professor from Alagappa College was unanimously made syndicate nominee.

Because the election of each, syndicate and senate nominees has been accomplished, the committee shall be full as soon as the federal government appoints its nominee.

Authorities nominee may even be the convenor of the committee, who will head the panel and begin the choice strategy of the subsequent vice chancellor.

The tenure of incumbent vice chancellor P Manisankar is ending in January.
